The Indeed.com and WorkBC job postings state “pay per hour will be $25 for 40 hours per week. No experience or education is required, and training will be provided to the eligible candidates.”

Filling the positions quickly has become even more urgent as the province has said it will lift some of the last restaurant restrictions on Oct. 25 for most regions of British Columbia.

Comments being left on various social media where the dishwashing jobs were circulated reveal how those not in the industry are taking the news. On Reddit, for example, several users seemed disenchanted by the news.
